I was reading an article about how asbestos has been found in a number of schools.
You might have seen some articles on the same topic
And some of the comments that people added were things like
“OMG why don’t they close the school”
“no one should expect children to be exposed to so much danger”
And the one that really made me think about things the most was a comment like this:
“what person in their right mind would allow their children to be exposed to asbestos”
One of the things most people don’t think about when they will sell their homes is the fact that when every home is sold that there is a pest and building inspection.
This brings up any flaws in the homes. In my experience
The top 7 faults found in building and pest inspections – in no particular order
- Leaking taps
- Water damage under the eaves
- Blocked gutters and drains
- Cracks in walls from dry or wet ground
- Rotten windows
- Leaking showers
- Uneven or loose steps
I can tell you from experience that when asbestos is found it can scare away potential buyers.
That’s why, if you’re thinking of selling in the near future, you would be making a worthwhile investment to get your house checked for asbestos now.
I have some of the best contacts in the industry for asbestos
